The Yours The Yours are a young emerging band on the local indie music scene.They are gaining rave reviews from their live performances and this debut EP should bring them to the attention of indie fans and devotees of the shoegaze scene which they cite as one of their influences.This was mainly popularised by British bands on the Creation record label,such as Ride and My Bloody Valentine. The band show an ability to wear those influences lightly and to insinuate well-crafted melodies within their blistering,fuzzed-out sound...From the breathless opener 'Another Teen' to the closing 'Speeding Daze' the band only slow down a little on tracks like 'Missed Call' which demonstrates their songwriting ability well.There's lots of wah-wah and reverb but it's not just about technique.they can also write some good songs.You may hear echoes of The Cure and Joy Division but The Yours have their own unique style and look like they have a great future.
